Happy Theophany 2026 from BMT’s baptismal church!

Making the holy water for the feast of Theophany (Epiphany) on January 6th, commemorating Christ’s baptism and the revelation of the Holy Trinity to humanity. In BMT’s church, the priest says “Christ is baptized!” and then we, with BMT, say “In the Jordan!”

Bayonne’s BMT Parish Pastor Father Philip Sanders does a really great job here. Remember, this was recorded during the 2020 COVID-19 “lockdowns” in NJ. BMT herself had an interesting and similar experience: she cared for her mother during the Spanish Flu pandemic.

Father Bertha of BMT’s home church of St John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic church gives a little lesson on BMT and prays for her canonization in The Holy City of Bayonne NJ on Constable Hook, the area of Bayonne where BMT was born & baptized.

Blessed Miriam Teresa Demjanovich, Sister of Charity, was an American Christian who breathed with "both lungs": a Roman Catholic sister who kept her Byzantine Catholic Rite heritage.
